Suppose you want full, blooming planters and drapey hanging baskets instantly in the middle of May when all chance of a dreaded arctic blast is gone from the forecast. Do you have a special event planned for your yard and need to have vibrant blooms and lush greenery pouring out of your containers? Bring your containers to us and we'll plant them early. We don't charge for the service, just a nominal weekly fee for nurturing and fertilizing. Or come in to select your plant palette and we'll hold them until May.
Each winter we peruse our seed suppliers' catalogs and order over 50 varieties of tomatoes, peppers and eggplants to germinate. Onions, lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, kale, swiss chard, and popular herbs fill the roster for a succulent garden full of edibles. Call us to reserve your tomatoes and peppers from our produce list. Our valley is so beautiful that it attracts many new people to our area every year. We realize that the plants that are grown in southern California, the Pacific Northwest, or Michigan may not thrive with our brutal temperature swings or survive our erratic winters. We know what grows here and love helping newcomers with their plant selections. We understand that some properly zoned plants may be tender morsels for foraging deer and elk. Our seasonal perennial offerings are chosen for hardiness, durability, critter resistance, and beauty. We can make recommendations. Succulents...we all love them. We ship them in early so our customers can shop in April and grow them as houseplants until it's safe to set them outside. Ornamental and perennial grasses are very popular and add color and height variance. Annuals really put on a show for their short lifespan, so we grow the most familiar and the not so familiar. We even grow new varieties upon our customers requests. |
